The Railway Children's Event
12th May 2012
I wanted a photo of a little girl in Victorian / Edwardian dress to use in ‘The End of the Day’ my Punch and Judy Show image (see Altered Reality Gallery) so went to The Railway Children’s Day at Oakworth railway station where the film was shot, this is the next station to Haworth of Bronte Sisters fame.
I had a good half day out but unfortunately the ‘children’ were teenagers so didn’t fit the image but no doubt will come in handy in the future, here are a few snaps of the day.

THE GREAT ESCAPE !

The original didn't have the sticker on, I thought it would be fun to add it, so knocked it up in Photoshop.

07th March 2012
I was delighted to learn today that I have been awarded an International Gold Medal for the most creative image in the 2012 Southamption International Salon, the highest international award achievable.
The winning image is 'Harvest of the Skies' shown below, well worth the considerable effort creating this image.

'The Foolishness of Youth' to be displayed at Focus on Imaging 2012 - Birmingham NEC
23rd February 2012
Focus on Imaging 2012 is Europe's biggest annual imaging show and attracted 38,000 visitors last year covering all trade and amateur photographic needs.
DAPA internet group won the Advanced Photographer magazine 'Best UK Club' and my image 'The Foolishness of Youth' was one of the 5 winning images.
This image was constructed in Photoshop from one fish photographed on a fishmonger's stall in Malta, the hook and maggot was kindly donated by the owner of my local angling shop. Thanks to DAPA Forum members for constructive criticism.
The show runs from 4th to 7th March, 2012.
